I Accepted Christ, Now What?

I Accepted Christ, Now What?

 Understanding “What Just Happened”?

John 3:16-17

Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior is the best decision anyone of us could ever make. Only a loving God could freely give salvation to sinful, rebellious mankind so that through it, we would be reconciled back to Himself. It’s important that we now grasp what Jesus did for us on the cross- so that the gospel can be shared effectively- it’s necessary to have a correct understanding of terms used to describe salvation.

Saved (Eph 2:8) or rescued. Mankind needed rescuing because without Jesus we deserve God's wrath, hell and eternal separation from God.

Redeemed (Eph 1:7) or transaction. Our salvation was purchased through the shedding of Jesus Christ blood on the cross.

Justified (Rom 5:1) When someone trusts in Christ, God pardons that person removes their guilt. A saved individual is in the right standing with the Lord.

Reconciled (2 Corinthians 5:18-21) results in coming into a relationship with God. We were once separated from God because of sin, but now we are his children, and He calls us friends (John 15:15).

It’s imperative that we understand what the Bible teaches about salvation. Please understand that we are not saved, redeemed, justified, redeemed, justified or reconciled by our own personal works or performance. Salvation is our by God's grace- His unmerited, undeserved loving Favor toward us. Let's not take for granted how God has rescued us-at the cost of Jesus' blood being shed for use:by being sent to die in our place.

Now through receiving this revelation, you too will be able to effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ to others.
