Positioned For Purpose.

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.” ( John 15:16 AMP)

God wants, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to reveal to us our position in Christ. I believe there is a great need and importance of finding our place in the Holy Spirit. If we seek to discover God's plans and purposes for our lives, I believe it will save us from a lot of confusion and unnecessary burden. God demonstrates His grace by revealing pathways He specifically designed for each one of us. Though many of us run ahead of God without considering His perspective and it leaves us wondering ‘ if our lives count for anything’? To avoid this, let's look at some ways we’re required to walk in God's purposes and plans for our lives.

God commands us to trust Him with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trusting the Lord shows we have confidence in His integrity, character and ability. This means believing whatever He says is right and true, without question. ‘Do you know we can agree with God about many of the teachings in the Bible without actually trusting him?’, Agreeing mixed with having genuine faith is the action that  responds to that belief.

God is sovereign. This is my favorite attribute about God because it reveals that He is the absolute supreme ruler. His wisdom and power all flow in harmony with his divine nature and He never acts out of character. We may not be able to understand unfortunate events that the Lord may allow to plague our world or comprehend God's perspective on matters in life; hence why we aren’t to lean to our own understanding. One thing for sure, ‘The Heavenly Father’ is good- He knows us all individually and  knows exactly the right path for your life.

God must have our whole heart. Do you know we can agree with God about many of the teachings in the Bible without actually trusting him? It’s not enough just to agree with God but to have genuine faith which is the action that  responds to that belief. When we whole heartily trust, we don’t pick and choose what areas of our lives we want to allow Him into. He needs to have total control, our whole heart to properly guide us the right way. Instead of relying on our own knowledge, perception and reasoning- entrust your heart to God and watch Him direct your path.

Acknowledging God means to recognize that He exists. While admitting He exists isn’t enough, we must confirm that He is the ruling authority in our life. This gives The Lord the right to direct you on the best path for your life. When we entrust our lives to God it will keep us from living outside of His will.

Obedience to God is what leads us on the best path for our lives. Obedience causes us to experience God’s divine Blessing upon our lives and the lives of those connected to us. His path isn’t always easy but The Lord's guidence always keeps us in step with His will in our life. You may stumble and get off course but if you have a heart to obey God, He will always redirect back to the right path.

Planning your own course of happiness and prosperity seems blissful for a while but you will soon experience the wear and tear of your decisions of disobedience. Like a loving Father-God will discipline you for a time but it will always produce obedience & right living. Take a moment and ponder any areas where due to disobedience you are out of your position for God’s purposes for your life. If so, Ask the Lord to forgive you and turn away from your own ways and allow the Lord to redirect you back to purpose.
